Terms and conditions for use of The Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery Expert Directory

Definitions:

“Agreement” means these Terms and any additional terms.

"Data" means any information made available to Users by the “Site” and information supplied by the “Expert Member” to the “Site”.

“Expert Member” means any individual or organisation that is registered as a member to appear on the “Site”.

“Profile” means the Expert Member’s listing on the Site which is available to be seen by all other Users.

"Site" means the "The Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery Expert Directory".

"Supplier" means VOT Legal Ltd (company No 09855127 registered in England and Wales, registered office 71 – 75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.  VOT Legal Ltd trades using: ‘The Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery Expert Directory’; ‘HTMSE - Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery Experts’; and ‘The Human Trafficking Expert Directory’.

"Terms" means the terms and conditions set out in this document.

"User" means any person who accesses the “Site” and includes “Expert Members” who access the Site to list a Profile.

General

This Agreement is between the Supplier and the User and shall govern the Users access to and use of the Site and its services.

By accessing and using the Site or services, the User agrees to be bound by the provisions of this Agreement.

The Supplier may, at its sole discretion, and at any time withdraw the Users access to the Site and/or services.

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid by any court, the invalidity of that provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall remain in full force and effect.

The Supplier may at any time, without notice, vary or amend these Terms. The most up to date version of the Terms will be posted to the Site.

This Agreement will be governed by English Law. The English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under this Agreement.

Site Usage

The login facility is for registered Expert Members only. Not all areas of the Site require passwords for access. But where a password is required to access specific areas, approval is needed and is at the discretion of the Supplier.

Liability

The Supplier bears no responsibility for the information published on the Site that concerns or relates to an Expert Member.  The Supplier bears no responsibility for the content of any third party sites accessed through links on the Site.

All and any information published on the Site that relates to an Expert Member is provided with the permission of the Expert Member. The Supplier does not review the content posted by an Expert Member and is not responsible for this content. The Supplier does not verify the accuracy of the information provided by an Expert Member and makes no warranties as to the accuracy of such information. While the Supplier has no reason to believe that there are inaccuracies or defects in any of the information published on the Site, it makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the fitness of the information for any purpose whatsoever to any User. In providing the information to User(s), no contractual obligation is or has been constituted between the User and the Supplier and no duty of care is owed to the User. The Supplier will not be liable for any direct or indirect consequences, loss or damages arising from use of this information by any User(s).

It is intended that the information published on the Site shall enable User(s) to conduct their own research into an Expert Member, their services and their products. All Expert Members are self-endorsed that they have the correct qualifications and expertise. The Supplier, by listing them on the Site, does not maintain that they do in fact hold those qualifications and skills.

For ease and accessibility, the Supplier may include links to websites on the internet that are owned or operated by third parties. Some elements of the Site also contain third party material.

By submitting material onto any of the Supplier’s servers, for example, by uploading a Profile, you agree that the material will not contain any items that are unlawful or otherwise unfit for publication and you will use all reasonable efforts to scan and remove any viruses before submitting any material.

The Supplier shall use all reasonable endeavours to ensure the Site is available to the User(s) and Expert Members. The Supplier shall hold no liability for any damages as a result of any delay, or disruption or access to the Site.
